Wellness & Fitness Classes

There are always great wellness and fitness classes happening at UFC. Here are just some of the different courses you can sign up for from our yoga studio.

Yoga Classes

Sundays: 9:00 a.m. – 10:00 a.m.

Instructor: Jessica Janowsky

Yoga is the practice of learning about yourself through the complementary notions of effort and ease. It is a holistic component to your fitness regimen that integrates mind, body, and breathing to strengthen muscles, improve balance, posture, and coordination, and gain a greater range of movement. Through the mindful techniques and practices of breathwork, asana, and meditation, you will learn how to release stress and tension as well as build up your core.

Zumba Classes

5:15 p.m. – 6:00 p.m

Instructor: Meghan Mathers

Zumba is a very fun cardio dance fitness class that features sassy Latin rhythms that will keep you moving and motivated. This is the ultimate fitness dance party that will help you build up a sweat while having the time of your life.

Cardio & Conquer

Tuesdays: 5:15 p.m. – 6:15 p.m.; Saturdays: 9:00 a.m. – 10:00 a.m.

Instructor: Tara McLaughlin

This is a high-energy fitness class that perfectly infuses cardio dance with toning and strengthening routines. There are many different forms of equipment used during this class to keep it fun and functional for all abilities, including resistance bands, weights, and sliders.

Wednesdays: 5:15 p.m. – 6:00 p.m.

Instructor – Meghan Mathers

This is a total body workout where every move is perfectly synced to the beat. In each class, you will burn calories while toning your arms, legs, glutes, and abs through a combination of body weight, muscle conditioning, cardio, and plyometric training moves.

Pound

Thursdays: 5:15 p.m. – 6:00 p.m.

Instructor – Bethany Peris DeMott

Pound is a super-fun, Pilates-based cardio workout that will make you feel like a rockstar. Lightly-weighted RipStix (a version of fitness drumsticks) are incorporated into these classes to add a rhythmic flair to your workout.

Barre

Saturdays: 8:00 a.m. – 8:45 a.m.

Instructor – Jessica Janowsky

Barre classes are a fun, low-impact workout that still helps you strengthen and tone every little muscle in your body. These classes combine yoga, Pilates, and ballet fundamentals to help you increase your flexibility, improve balance, and enhance your inner strength as well as your muscular strength.
